hambledon hill pub walks
Hambledon hill, which can be seen from the entrance to the Caravan Park, is a large Iron age Hill fort located in Stourpaine next to the smaller Hod Hill.
The view from this hill are amazing .
I have used the car park between Hod and Hambledon hills as my car park, but there is no reason why you couldnt adapt this walk by parking in the villages of Child Okeford or Shroton if you wish to end by a pub for lunch .
Child Okeford is the home to two pubs ,both of which I believe offers food, please see www.saxoninn.co.uk at Gold Hill,Child Okeford and/or www.bakersarms.co.uk at The Cross,Child Okeford for more information. For the Shroton side we have www.thecricketersshorton.co.uk .
