Hod hill pub walks

Hod hill is the middle of large hills in front of you as you exit the caravan park.

This Iron age hill fort is heaped in history and wildlife with views that are well worth the climb.
I have started my walks from the car park (with height restriction) at Stourpaine's village hall which is a 2 mile walk or drive away from the farm.

The White Horse Inn is just a short walk from the car park which can easily be added on at the end if you fancy a meal or pint .
Please see
www.whitehorse-stourpaine.co.uk for more information.

Hambledon hill pub walks
Hambledon hill is the larger Iron age hill fort of the two . On exiting the caravan park Hambledon is the hill on the right.

The views from this hill are breath taking and well worth the walk.

On my maps I have used the car park between Hod and Hambledon as our starting points but there is no reason why you couldn't add a pub lunch or cheeky pint at the end of your walk by parking in the either Child Okeford or Shroton.
Child Okeford is the home to two pubs ,both of which I believe offers food, please see www.saxoninn.co.uk and/or www.bakersarms.co.uk for more information.
For the Shroton side we have www.thecricketersshorton.co.uk .
