North Dorset Trailway

We are extremely lucky to have this amazing Trailway just a short 1.8 mile off road walk/run/cycle away from us (2 miles by road).

This wonderful route stretches 13 miles from Sturminster Newton to Blandford and right out the other direction 

to Spetibury.

Our pathway from the farm meets the trailway almost in the centre.

 

Whichever direction you go,this trailway leads to footpaths back home,many pubs that serve food,play parks ,outdoor gyms,picnic areas,villages and towns,including Shillingstone Railway Project,where you can stop off for a light lunch at their station cafe onboard their buffet coach.

The Trailway is also home to Blandfords 5k Parkrun held every Saturday at 9am. More info about this can be found by clicking this button.

To drive from Bushes Farm to the Stourpaine side of the Trailway head towards Bushes Road, turn right and follow the road to the very bottom and turn right.Take the first left,straight after The White Horse and follow down the narrow lane to a cross roads,go straight over and you will find the Village Hall/trailway carpark ​on your left. Please note ,there is a height restricton on the entrance.
